What is a Millwork

Any type of woodworking that is produced in a mill is generally referred to as millwork. This includes a variety of building construction products used for building interiors, exteriors, and decorative components. Historically millwork referred to wood products produced at a mill, however, today millwork also includes products made from wood substitutes, including wood composites, synthetics, and plastics. Since such a variety of wooden products can be produced in a millwork, the term can refer to a wide variety of products. The term millwork includes decorative products from mantels and door casings but also more conventional building products like flooring and wall paneling.
