What is a Custom Cabinet?

A custom cabinet is a cabinet that is built on location instead of being manufactured in a factory. As opposed to a pre-built cabinet or an RTA cabinet, a custom cabinet is built from scratch by carpenters out in the field. There was once a misconception that custom cabinets are the best form of cabinet but this has been disproven over the last several years. With the advancements in ready to assemble cabinets, RTA cabinets have proven to be the more economical option that is also of the highest standards and quality. The variety of styles and colors available for RTA cabinets have also worked to put less of a premium on custom cabinetry than there was in years past.
