What Is Carpenter’s Glue?

Carpenter’s glue describes a wood glue that sets fast and bonds strong when adhered to cabinets, trim or other wood applications. This glue is sandable and paintable as well. There are three types of wood glue that you will be able to find at your local construction store. One is made from a chemical known as aliphatic resin. This is the traditional yellow glue which is stronger than white glue. Next is urea formaldehyde which is a plastic resin glue that is often used on indoor furniture. The third is resorcinol glue, known as one of the most durable types of wood glue and 100% waterproof.
