What is a Pressed Board and Pressed Wood

Pressboard and press wood are both terms that refer to manufactured wood substitutes. Essentially, pressboard and pressed wood are similar to particle board but slightly stronger. Pressed wood is made from wood scraps, whereas pressboard is made from paper scraps. The main difference in products like pressboard / pressed wood compared to particle board is the materials used as well as the process. For example, particle board undergoes an extrusion process compared to the compressing process that applies heat and adhesive for pressed wood and pressboard.
