What is a Muntin

The term muntin refers to a strip that supports the panes of glass in a window or door. Muntin strips are typically made of wood or metal, and the strips are used to create a grid-like appearance made to resemble latticework.Muntins are used to offer additional support to glass panes. Initially, muntins were used in the past to help manufacturers make a larger, strong window out of several panes. Today, muntin strengths are largely kept for the aesthetic touch they add to a cabinet door. A Mullion is a type of cabinet door that incorporates muntin strips.
