What is a Modular Cabinet

A modular cabinets are premade units that are designed to stand alone, and are not necessarily mounted to the wall or floor.

Modular cabinets are single units that are not attached to other cabinets, which is where the term modular comes from. Each cabinet is its own module. Modular cabinets are made from a variety of materials, including metals, wood, MDF, and they are often sold for less than custom cabinets. Since modular cabinets can be placed anywhere in a room regardless of existing cabinets or designs, they allow a great deal of versatility for the utilitarian remodeler. Modular cabinets can be stacked on existing counters or mounted to the ceiling or floor. Modular cabinets are a great way to create additional workspace in areas that are limited by their existing floor plan or cabinetry.
