Corner Cabinet Dimensions: Sizes for Every Type of Kitchen Corner

Corner Cabinet Dimensions: Sizes for Every Type of Kitchen Corner
What is the standard size for a corner cabinet?

Corner base cabinets are 24 inches deep and 34-1/2 inches high, like other base cabinets. Width depends on the type. At Lily Ann, a blind corner base is 36 or 42 inches wide and is pulled out to 39 or 45 inches from the corner. A lazy susan corner uses 33 or 36 inches on each wall, and a diagonal corner sink base fits a 36- or 42-inch corner. Wall corner cabinets are 12 inches deep.

  • Every corner base is 24 inches deep and 34-1/2 inches high. The difference between types is how much wall each one uses.
  • Blind corner base: 36 or 42 inches wide, but pulled out to 39 or 45 inches from the corner, with a filler covering the gap.
  • The opening is the catch. The 36-inch blind base opens 9 inches; the 42-inch opens 15 inches and is the one Lily Ann's blind corner caddy fits.
  • Lazy susan (EZ Reach): 33 or 36 inches on each wall. The drawings on the product pages mark the same number on both walls.
  • Diagonal corner sink base: fits a 36- or 42-inch corner. Check the sink maker's spec sheet for sink size; Lily Ann doesn't list a maximum.
  • Wall corners are 12 inches deep: 24 inches on each wall for a diagonal, 27 inches wide for a blind corner.
  • Every size here links to a real Lily Ann cabinet, checked in stock on September 14, 2026, with its dimension drawing.

Corner Cabinet Dimensions at a Glance

Every corner base cabinet Lily Ann sells is 24 inches deep and 34-1/2 inches high, the same as a regular base cabinet. What changes from one type to the next is how much wall it uses on each side of the corner.

The table below covers the corner cabinets on Lily Ann's product pages, checked on September 14, 2026. "Wall it uses" is measured from the inside corner of the room.

Sizes come from each product's description and the dimension drawing on the same page. They can differ by cabinet line, so open the page for your line before you order.

Blind Corner Base Cabinet Dimensions

A blind corner base cabinet runs straight along one wall. Its end goes into the corner and is hidden, or "blind," behind the cabinets on the other wall, so only part of the front opens. Lily Ann lists two widths, each in a left and a right version:

Drawing of a white shaker 36-inch blind corner base cabinet marked 36 inches wide, 24 inches deep and 34-1/2 inches high, with one door and drawer on the right

What "Must Be Pulled to 39 Inches" Means

The cabinet is not pushed tight into the corner. It slides out along its wall until its outside edge sits 39 inches from the corner, or 45 inches for the 42-inch cabinet. That leaves about 3 inches where the two runs of cabinets meet, which is covered with a filler strip. The space gives doors, drawers and handles on both sides room to open without bumping.

So when you plan, count a 36-inch blind corner base as 39 inches of wall, and a 42-inch one as 45 inches.

36 or 42 Inches?

The 42-inch cabinet uses 6 more inches of wall, but its opening grows from 9 to 15 inches. That matters if you want storage that pulls out of the blind end. Lily Ann's Blind Corner Base Caddy is listed as fitting only the 42-inch cabinets (BLB42/45), and the blind corner organizers shown on the 42-inch product pages are labelled to fit that size too. With the 36-inch cabinet's 9-inch opening, plan on reaching into the blind end by hand.

Left or right is about which way the cabinet faces in your corner. Compare the drawing on the product page with your floor plan before you order.

Lazy Susan Corner Cabinet Dimensions

Lily Ann's lazy susan corner base is called the EZ Reach Base Corner Cabinet. It is L-shaped: it fills the corner and uses the same amount of wall on both sides, with a two-part door in the inside corner.

The product description gives only one width, such as "33 inches W." The measurement along each wall comes from the dimension drawing on the same page, which marks 33 inches on both sides for the 33-inch cabinet and 36 inches on both sides for the 36-inch one.

33 or 36 Inches?

The 36-inch cabinet uses 3 more inches on each wall. Depth and height are the same. Organizers are sold for a specific cabinet size: the Super Pull Out Lazy Susan Carousel is listed as fitting the LS36, the 36-inch cabinet. Before you buy any lazy susan shelf set, check that its product name matches your cabinet size.

Corner Sink Base Cabinet Dimensions

A diagonal corner sink base has an angled front that faces into the room, so the sink sits across the corner. Lily Ann lists two sizes:

What Size Sink Fits a Corner Sink Base?

That depends on the sink, and Lily Ann's product pages do not list a maximum sink size for these cabinets, so we won't guess one here. Check the sink maker's spec sheet for the cabinet size it needs, and compare it with the 36- or 42-inch corner before you buy either one. Remember the drain and supply lines share the same cabinet. Our corner sink cabinet ideas article covers plumbing planning.

Corner Wall Cabinet Dimensions

Upper corners come in two shapes. Both are 12 inches deep in the listings we checked.

Wall Diagonal Corner Cabinet

A wall diagonal corner cabinet has one angled door and uses 24 inches along each wall. The Craftsman Off-White Shaker listing gives its size as 24 inches W x 24 inches W x 30 inches H x 12 inches D. Heights vary by line: 24 inches in Craftsman Black Shaker and 39 inches in Colorado White Shaker. For storage inside, the Wooden Carousel is listed for 24-inch wall diagonal corner cabinets and is 19 inches long.

Blind Corner Wall Cabinet

A blind corner wall cabinet works like the base version: it runs along one wall, and its end hides behind the wall cabinets on the other side. The listings we checked are 27 inches wide and 12 inches deep, for example Grey Shaker Elite at 30 inches high and Colorado White Shaker at 39 inches high.

To keep the tops lined up, pick the corner wall cabinet in the same height as the wall cabinets beside it. Standard wall and base heights are in our kitchen cabinet dimensions guide.

  • One wall is short. A blind corner base needs its 39 or 45 inches on one wall only. The cabinets on the other wall start right at the corner, in front of its blind end.
  • You want to reach everything. A lazy susan brings things from the back to the front with a spin, but it needs at least 33 inches clear on both walls.
  • The sink goes in the corner. Only the diagonal corner sink base is made for it, and it needs 36 or 42 inches on both walls.

How to Measure a Kitchen Corner for a Corner Cabinet

  1. Measure each wall from the inside corner to the first thing in the way: a window, door frame, appliance or the end of the wall. Write both numbers down.
  2. Check the corner is square. Mark 3 feet along one wall and 4 feet along the other. If the corner is square, the straight line between the two marks is exactly 5 feet.
  3. Compare with the table. A lazy susan needs 33 or 36 inches on each wall, a diagonal sink base 36 or 42 inches on each wall, and a blind corner base 39 or 45 inches on one wall.
  4. Plan the other wall of a blind corner. Its cabinets start at the corner and cover the blind end, so they need their full 24-inch depth there.
  5. Check what opens next to the corner. A dishwasher, oven door or drawer beside the corner cabinet needs room to open. Check that appliance's own size sheet.
  6. Pick left or right for any blind corner cabinet by comparing the product drawing with your floor plan.
  7. Add the countertop. Base cabinets are 34-1/2 inches high before the countertop goes on.

If the numbers don't add up, Lily Ann's free 3D kitchen design service can lay out the corner for you before you order.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is the standard size for a corner cabinet?
Corner base cabinets are 24 inches deep and 34-1/2 inches high, like other base cabinets, and their width depends on the type. At Lily Ann, blind corner bases are 36 or 42 inches wide, lazy susan corner bases use 33 or 36 inches on each wall, and diagonal corner sink bases fit 36- or 42-inch corners. Wall corner cabinets are 12 inches deep: 24 inches on each wall for a diagonal, or 27 inches wide for a blind corner.
2. Is a 36 inch corner cabinet standard?
Yes. 36 inches is one of the two sizes Lily Ann lists for every corner base type. There is a 36-inch blind corner base (pulled to 39 inches), a 36-inch EZ Reach lazy susan corner (36 inches on each wall) and a 36-inch diagonal corner sink base. They use very different amounts of wall, so check which kind of 36-inch cabinet you mean before you order.
3. What are the dimensions of a 24 inch corner base cabinet?
Lily Ann does not list a 24-inch corner base cabinet. The smallest corner base on our product pages is the 33-inch EZ Reach lazy susan, which uses 33 inches on each wall. The 24-inch corner cabinet we do list is the wall diagonal corner cabinet, 24 inches on each wall and 12 inches deep. Every Lily Ann corner base is 24 inches deep, so a "24" on a base cabinet may be its depth.
4. How do you measure a corner base cabinet?
Measure along the wall from the inside corner. A lazy susan or diagonal sink base uses the same amount on both walls, so measure both. A blind corner base uses only one wall, but count its pulled-out size (39 inches for the 36-inch cabinet, 45 inches for the 42-inch), not its box width. Depth, front to back, is 24 inches for every Lily Ann corner base.
5. What are the standard dimensions of a Lazy Susan cabinet?
Lily Ann's lazy susan corner base, the EZ Reach Base Corner Cabinet, comes in 33-inch and 36-inch sizes, both 24 inches deep and 34-1/2 inches high. The size is the wall it uses on each side of the corner. The dimension drawing for the 33-inch cabinet marks 33 inches along both walls, and the 36-inch drawing marks 36 inches on both.
6. Are all Lazy Susan cabinets the same size?
No. Lily Ann lists two sizes, 33 inches and 36 inches on each wall, and other brands may use different ones. Organizers are made for a specific size too: the Super Pull Out Lazy Susan Carousel is listed for the 36-inch cabinet. Check the drawing and the organizer's product name before you order.
7. What are the dimensions of a 36-inch Lazy Susan cabinet?
Lily Ann's 36-inch EZ Reach lazy susan corner uses 36 inches along each wall, is 24 inches deep and is 34-1/2 inches high. With a countertop on, base cabinets come to about 35 to 36 inches high, according to our kitchen cabinet dimensions guide. Plan for at least 36 inches of clear wall on both sides of the corner.
8. What size sink fits a 36 inch corner base cabinet?
It depends on the sink, so check the sink maker's spec sheet for the cabinet size it needs. Lily Ann's product pages list the 36-inch diagonal corner sink base as fitting a 36-inch corner opening, but they do not give a maximum sink size. Compare the sink's requirement with the cabinet before you buy either one, and leave room for the plumbing underneath.
9. What is the difference between a corner cabinet and a blind corner cabinet?
"Corner cabinet" covers every cabinet made for a corner, and a blind corner cabinet is one kind. A blind corner cabinet runs straight along one wall, with its end hidden behind the cabinets on the other wall, so only part of its front opens: 9 inches on Lily Ann's 36-inch base and 15 inches on the 42-inch. A lazy susan or diagonal corner cabinet fills the corner instead and uses wall on both sides.
10. What are the common problems with blind corner cabinets?
The main problem is reach: the hidden end is hard to get to. On Lily Ann's 36-inch blind corner base the opening is only 9 inches wide, and the Blind Corner Base Caddy fits only the 42-inch size. The cabinet also has to be pulled out to 39 or 45 inches and finished with a filler, and it comes in left and right versions that are easy to mix up. Checking the drawing against your floor plan avoids the last two.
11. How do blind corner cabinet dimensions work?
A blind corner cabinet has two widths you need to know: the box width and the "pulled to" size. Lily Ann's 36-inch blind corner base must be pulled to 39 inches from the corner, and the 42-inch one to 45 inches. The extra 3 inches is covered with a filler so doors and handles on both runs can open. Plan with the pulled-to number.
12. Is a lazy susan better than a blind corner cabinet?
Neither is better for every kitchen. It depends on your wall space and what you store. A lazy susan brings items to the front with a spin but needs 33 or 36 inches clear on both walls. A blind corner base needs its 39 or 45 inches on one wall only, but you reach the back through a 9- or 15-inch opening. If one wall is short, the blind corner may be the one that fits.
13. Is a 33 inch corner lazy Susan cabinet too small?
It is 3 inches smaller on each wall than the 36-inch size, and that is the only size difference Lily Ann lists. Both are 24 inches deep and 34-1/2 inches high. The 33-inch cabinet suits corners where wall space is tight. If you want the Super Pull Out Lazy Susan Carousel, note that it is listed for the 36-inch cabinet.
